Olallie Lake is a high mountain lake in the Mt. Hood National Forest with a great view of Mt. Jefferson. It is a nice semi-rustic getaway. There is a small primitive resort with a general store and ten cabins. Rowboats, wood stoves, no cell service, no internet, etc.
The lake itself is a no motorboat, no swimming lake. Many other lakes in the area are available for swimming however. Near the lake, and one the road passes, is Head Lake. That is a great location for swimming.
There a lot of hikers that pass through here, as the Pacific Crest Trail is minutes away. If huckleberries are in season, you will be competing with them for the tasty berries (my favorite).
