Fogarty Creek State Park is located on the coast between Depoe Bay and Lincoln City, south of milepost 124. A sandy beach is at the north end of the park, while a rocky area becomes visible at low tide on the south end.
Even with the beach nearby, most people tend to stay in the campground on the east side of Hwy-101 and don’t spent a lot of time “in the sand”. Typically the beach isn’t very crowded.
If you are in the area, Depoe Bay is the worlds smallest navigable harbor at 6 acre/2.4 ha. The viewing area along the highway features a waterspout and good views of whale migrations. For a much better view of the whales, Boiler Bay, just a few minutes south, is fantastic!
